Rebreather Servicing & Technician Support
All Open Safety Equipment rebreathers require regular servicing in accordance with the product's IEC 61508 safety case and the manufacturer's maintenance schedule. Servicing must be performed by an authorised Deep Life Group technician or an authorised distributor technician holding the appropriate Level 1 or Level 2 qualification.
Deep Life Group's servicing facility is equipped with specialist test equipment developed for the Open Safety Equipment rebreather range. This includes calibrated test rigs for breathing resistance, oxygen cell verification, sensor calibration, and electronic system diagnostics.
Annual Service
An annual service is required for all Open Safety Equipment rebreathers, regardless of the number of dives completed. The annual service includes a full inspection of all components, replacement of consumable items (oxygen cells, sorbent, O-rings, and mouthpiece components), calibration of all sensors, and a functional test of all electronic systems.
A service certificate is issued upon completion, confirming that the unit has been serviced in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications and the IEC 61508 safety case requirements.
Annual Service Includes:
- Full strip-down and inspection of all components
- Replacement of oxygen cells and O-rings
- Calibration of all oxygen sensors and electronics
- Breathing resistance and work-of-breathing test
- Scrubber canister inspection and endurance verification
- Issue of service certificate and updated logbook entry
