Open Safety Equipment Ltd and Deep Life Group hold a comprehensive range of certifications covering quality management, product safety, and functional safety. Our certifications are maintained through regular third-party audits and are listed here as part of our commitment to transparency.
All products are CE marked where required under applicable European Directives. Notified Body involvement is documented in the relevant design validation reports.

Lloyds Register QA, UKAS Accredited
Quality Management System certification covering the design, development, manufacture, and servicing of rebreathers and associated life support equipment.

TUV Rheinland, IAF Accredited
Covers Open Safety Equipment Ltd and all other Deep Life Group operating sites. Demonstrates our commitment to environmental management and sustainability in the design, manufacture, and servicing of rebreathers.
Status: Routine 3 yearly recertification.

CE PPE Directive Type Approval
SGS UK, UKAS Accredited
Covers Incursion BM rebreather all modes including eCCR with end of tidal CO2 monitoring.
Status: Current, was issued for life. Open Safety have scheduled recertification to new standards.
Functional Safety IEC EN 61508 SIL3
SIRA UK, UKAS Accredited
Open Safety are the only company producing rebreathers certified to IEC 61508. This certification covers the complete lifecycle from concept to disposal.
Status: Maintained under ISO9001 processes. Recertification underway for IEC EN61508:2010.
